Manage categories, privacy, language, currency and account
The Settings page is divided into six sections: Categories, Recurring, Privacy, Language, Currency and Account.
Categories tab
Manage all your movement categories. See the Categories guide for full details on adding, renaming, reordering and deleting categories.
Recurring tab
Manage recurring movement templates — automated movements that generate on a schedule (e.g. monthly rent, biweekly salary).
- Notifications panel — at the top, collapsed by default. Its header summarizes whether push and email reminders are on; tap it to show the switches. These apply to every template.
- Possible recurring movements — shown only when CaliMoney spots a description and amount you keep entering by hand on a regular schedule. Make recurring creates the template; Dismiss hides the suggestion. See Find subscriptions you enter by hand.
- Search and filters — find a template by description or category, or narrow the list with the All / Active / Paused / Ended chips.
- Compact list — one row per template: description and amount, then category, frequency and next occurrence. Paused and ended templates carry a badge; a crossed-out bell marks a template whose notifications are off.
- Edit — tap a row to change amount, description, category, type, day of month, end date or its notification toggle. The frequency pattern cannot be changed. Only future occurrences are affected.
- ⋮ menu — Pause, Resume (missed periods are skipped, not backfilled), End (already-generated movements are preserved) and Delete (tap twice to confirm).

Privacy tab
Configure end-to-end encryption to protect your data in the cloud. See the Privacy & Encryption guide for details.
This tab also holds the AI assistant option Let AI read descriptions — off by default. When off, the assistant sees your categories, amounts and dates but not what you typed in the description field. See the AI Assistant guide.
Language tab
Switch the interface language between Italiano and English.
Currency tab
Choose the currency symbol shown next to your amounts — EUR, GBP, USD, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, CZK, CAD, AUD or JPY. EUR is the default.
This changes the label only; it does not convert anything. Switching from EUR to USD turns €10 into $10, not into its exchange-rate equivalent. Every movement you already recorded keeps the number you entered.
It is also the currency your totals are shown in. If you keep an account in another currency, that account's amounts are converted into this one for totals, at the latest exchange rate, and marked ≈.
The choice is saved on the device you set it on, the same way the language is. Push and email reminders follow it too.
Account tab
Manage your account settings: change password, enable or disable two-factor authentication, clear local data, delete cloud data, or delete your account. See the Account guide for details.
The preference is saved locally and persists across sessions. Data (category names, movement descriptions) is not automatically translated.
Invite friends
Open Invite friends from More to get your personal invite link — Copy link, or Share it through your phone's share sheet. When someone creates a CaliMoney account through it, it counts on that page: you see how many people joined with your link, never who. The link shows offline too once you have opened the page online.
Light / dark theme
Tap More in the bottom bar and use the Dark theme switch. Until you flip it, CaliMoney follows your device's setting; once you do, your choice sticks.
In dark mode the header turns dark with a yellow line under it, and the phone's status bar follows it.
