Settings

The Settings page is divided into five sections: Categories, Recurring, Privacy, Language and Account.

Categories tab

Manage all your movement categories. See the Categories guide for full details on adding, renaming, reordering and deleting categories.

Recurring tab

Manage recurring movement templates — automated movements that generate on a schedule (e.g. monthly rent, biweekly salary). Each template shows the description, category, amount, frequency, next occurrence date, and status (Active / Paused / Ended).

Pause a template to temporarily stop generating instances.
Resume to continue from the next future due date (missed periods are skipped, not backfilled).
End to permanently stop the series. Already-generated past movements are preserved.
Edit a template to change amount, description, category, type, day of month, or end date. The frequency pattern cannot be changed. Only future occurrences are affected.
Notifications — each template has a notification toggle (bell icon). When enabled, you'll receive an in-app toast when the next due date is within 1 day. Notifications are enabled by default.

Privacy tab

Configure end-to-end encryption to protect your data in the cloud. See the Privacy & Encryption guide for details.

Language tab

Switch the interface language between Italiano and English.

Account tab

Manage your account settings: change password, enable or disable two-factor authentication, clear local data, delete cloud data, or delete your account. See the Account guide for details.

The preference is saved locally and persists across sessions. Data (category names, movement descriptions) is not automatically translated.

Light / dark theme

The theme toggle is in the app header (sun/moon icon). CaliMoney supports three modes:

Mode	Behavior
System	Follows the operating system preference
Light	Always light theme
Dark	Always dark theme

The preference is saved in the browser and also applies to this documentation.
